Everything below the line is yours, and it's all the tailor gets to work with. The two title options differ in how far the wording travels toward the job — never in how far the facts do. When what's below the line doesn't cover the role, the tailor says so instead of reaching above it.
Two ways to handle role titles — both capped by the same evidence
Keep original job titles is the default: each role’s recorded title and location are frozen, and only the bullets and the summary move toward the job description. Match the target job title re-points your most recent role’s title at the job title and lets the header follow the job’s city — a real option, so we made it loud.
It tells you what it did
Every rename is listed under “Role titles adjusted for this job,” where you and anyone reading the résumé can see it.
The ceiling doesn’t move
Neither mode can claim a tool, a metric, a date, an employer or a scope your bank doesn’t record. That ceiling is the product; everything else is presentation.

They run on every tailored résumé. Any bullet with no support in the bank is flagged, and the flag tells you what it was based on — so you fix it rather than hope nobody asks. When it can’t be done honestly, there is no quiet invention: the result comes back as a “Stretch role” with the unmet must-haves listed.

If one of those must-haves is genuinely something you’ve done, capturing it puts it in your bank as real coverage — which then counts everywhere else, including your next fit score.
